National Trails Day June 2, 2018

“For 25 yearsAmerican Hiking Society's National Trails Day® has united communities on the first Saturday of June with the goal of connecting more people to trails and public lands. This year is the 50th anniversary of the National Trails System. The 1968 National Trails System Act gave America a gift – the creation and protection of some of Americans’ favorite places to discover the great outdoors.”

On June 2 there will be a Guemes Island Ferry Trail (GIFT) information table at the Guemes Island General Store from 11:00-1:00. We will have an update on current surveys, grants, and design. There will also be GIFT Tee-shirts and “Guemes  Island Rocks” bumper stickers available for purchase.

The Guemes Island Ferry Trail committee encourages you to get outdoors and "hit the trail."  Show your love for trails with this limited edition Guemes Ferry Trail graphic tee. Proceeds go to fund the future Guemes Island Ferry  trail from the Guemes ferry dock to Schoolhouse Park.

Your contributions are greatly appreciated.
